About Eric

Local Roots

Born and raised in Cottage Grove, Oregon. First-generation college graduate from Oregon State University with additional degrees from George Fox and Portland State.

Beaverton Resident

Living in the Westview attendance area for nearly 30 years, and in Bethany since 1998. Raised three children who attended Beaverton schools K-12.

Educator

30 years teaching experience across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Currently teaches Social Studies at Centennial School District.

Elementary Education

8 years teaching specialized reading intervention programs. Developed innovative teaching methodologies and culturally responsive curriculum materials to better connect with diverse student populations.

Middle School

12+ years teaching Social Studies at Centennial School District. Specializes in discussion-based learning environments and project-based approaches. Served as department chair for 5 years.

High School

10 years teaching comprehensive Social Studies curriculum, including AP History and Civics. Developed student leadership programs and educational partnerships with community organizations.
